Do you care to bury a dead animal if you ever come across your way?

We have an NGO by the name Edhi, they pay their services all over Pakistan. They have shelter homes for children, women, old, insane and animals. Talking of their animals shelters, once the owner, Edhi, was asked how he started animals shelter. His answer really touched my heart, he said whenever he saw an injured dog or cat or any animal, he would put it into his car and provided all possible help he could. He further told that he even cared to bury a dead mouse. According to him animals also deserve some respect because, they posses all the signs of life like us.

I wish everyone, every single human thinks like this then I am sure these street animals will have better lives even living on the streets.

Just a thought...

I see hungry cats and dogs on the streets and a question comes to my mind that there's not a single person in such a huge population to feed them? It hurts me to think about this. Their eyes are always looking for food because this is the basic need they are unable to get access to it.

I see a white dog, who is almost gray now, living in the street where I live. It's a pity that there's a small restaurant adjacent to that street. If the owner is willing he can just give him, not much, just a piece of bread but no, there's no one to have a look at him. I have started giving him milk and when I see him lap up milk, it really gives me inner happiness which can't even be attained by the most expensive thing in the world. A real satisfaction and peace... It is my wish to adopt that dog which I can't think of now due to my own reasons but I wish it comes true one day.

Animals eat less than humans if we start to think about street animals, we will not need animals shelters but who wants to give this a thought?

Let's join hands!

Have you ever looked into their eyes? They have questions, so many questions. When I look into their eyes, I can read those pangs of hunger, a wish for a home and wait for someone who just looks at them with love. When I see a lonely dog or cat on the street, I tend to think that how lonely it must be and how badly it must be wishing for his near and dear ones. It's sad they are separated from their mums at a very young age and then are left to live alone.

How can we make them happy? It's a question that I leave it to you to think about.

Our best friends!

This is my first blog post and I hope it will be  a success for the cause I have started. We all have a soft corner for animals and currently, there are many organizations who are working for the rights and welfare of animals. But still, after all this effort, it's sad to see that we have less space for them. Every day I pass by the streets and the sight gives me pain to see thirsty and hungry animals looking for food, but unfortunately, I hardly see anyone to think about them. I am talking about this particular situation in my own city.

What is my share in this cause is, I and my sister feed kittens at a place where we live and also when we are out and see a hungry dog or cat, we buy some milk and quench its thirst. I believe, these little acts not only make us kind and considerate but others also take some lesson to help these innocent creatures of God.

This is just a small post for today and I will come back with some more. Until then love animals in your home, in your surroundings and always remember they have been give life just as we have been given.

Regard,

Naheed
